Sending out the Gospel in honor of James' birthday

We took 13 balloons with tracts in them to release at James'
grave, to celebrate his 13th birthday.

13 red and white balloons, each with a tract that told
who James was and who James loved, the Lord

My niece, Brittney. This was her idea.

We asked God to take the balloons to
people that needed the gospel

Happy Birthday, James

James' birthday party was PERFECT,
thanks to the many friends that gave to make it happen.
It was truly a reflection of James' spirit.

Ron, the magician,
(www.mybirthdaypartymagician.com/charlottemagician.htm),
did an awesome show for the kids.
He had all the kids laughing, especially when
his rabbit, Stew, wouldn't cooperate.

Mr. Bower, James' SS teacher,
and Jon played "J-A-M-E-S" bingo with the kids
and it was really a hit. I think we could have played all night!

The number "M-19" kept coming up over and over,
so Jon threw it out.....literally!

Josh and Justin and Landon did the prize table for the game.

Angel, from Children's Party Plus
(www.childrenspartyplus.com),
came to do face painting for us.

Mrs. Bower and Kelli and Johannah served the cake and ice cream.

I'm not sure how much help Mrs. Bower is getting from these two :)

Haines Barksdale (and Isabel) from For Goodness Cakes
(http://forgoodnesscakes.blogspot.com)
made an awesome chocolate chip cake for us.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR MAKING
JAMES' BIRTHDAY A SPECIAL DAY!!!!

Happy Birthday FROM James

Although losing James has definitely been the hardest thing we have ever done, when we thought of his upcoming birthday, we knew that we wanted to do something that would be honoring of James. Anyone that knew James knew that he loved EVERYONE and he loved giving. So that's what we want to do on James' birthday......give.

We decided to have a birthday party at the local children's home. We are calling it, "Happy Birthday FROM James." We have a magician that is donating a show for the kids (Ron the Magician). A cake decorator is donating a cake (For Goodness Cakes). We even have a face painter coming (Childrens Party Plus ). We're going to have cake and ice cream, lots of balloons, and a ton of fun!!!

When talking to the director at the home, she recommended that we make gift boxes for each of the cottages. There are 4 cottages that house 6 kids each. Since Christmas is just passed, she felt it would be best to give things that the groups can use together rather than individual gifts. So we are putting together birthday boxes full of videos, games, and crafts for each cottage.

We could use your help to fill these boxes. Jon has the paypal set up on James' website (www.JamesNeubauer.com) so that you can easily donate.
