James did something "normal" today....he went to the dentist. Things like that get pushed to the back burner when dealing with the tumor. But, he was well overdue for a visit. In fact, he has several teeth that need repaired. Pray that it goes well for him. We will spread it out over 2 or 3 visits.
Johannah is next week.

I hadn't checked in a week, so it was great reading two updates. Sure looking for the results after Houston. Our prayers remain active.
Nice to be having such normal activities. And to allow summer to end this way. Good stuff!

Tell James I just finished my visits to the dentist...it took 6 months, but I'm sure his won't!
Give your kiddies a hug for me.
Oh, I don't know, LuAnne. I think James has more rotten teeth than good. The first visit with require repairing and crowning a permanent tooth that is totally decayed and repairing a tooth nearby. The second visit will include removing a tooth that is not permanent and totally decayed, but having to make a spacer because the permanent tooth won't be in for a couple of years. And repairing a tooth nearby. After that, it's just cavities, so I don't know how many visits it will take. I'm sure he'll be tired of the dentist by the time he's done. But, at least it's not the day hospital for doses of chemo every week.
Visiting for the first time and sending my love and prayers to you and your family. I totally relate to the joy of something as normal as dental issues! Sharing your journey firsthand and sharing your faith as well.
Love, Tammy
thinking of you...finally found my way to this page...praying that you have peace and clarity as you move through the marathon.
hang in there,

p.s. and extra prayers for the dentist...we had similar issues, and trying to explain to dentists that oncology trumps teeth somehow never really flies the way I think it should...
